DANGEROUS TRAINING PROGRAM AT VIAGS

Previously, when there was a need for professional training in the transport of dangerous goods, enterprises had to send their employees abroad to participate in the International Air Transport Association (IATA) training course of dangerous goods. Right now, in Vietnam, VIAGS regularly open training courses with programs regularly updated which in accordance with the Regulations on Carriage of Ranger Goods. IATA insurance and the regulations of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam.

Training is requirement before directly working with Dangerous good?

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has issued in details and up-to-date lists of 9 commodity categories with over 4,000 commodity codes are classified as dangerous. This is a challenge for those who regularly work directly contact with dangerous goods, as well as for each business involved in this type of merchandise.

According to the Government's Decree No. 104/2009 / ND-CP of November 9, 2009, on the list of dangerous goods and the transport of dangerous goods, the operators of dangerous goods must be trained and have a certificate in the type of dangerous goods that they transported. In the past, businesses had to send staff abroad to study at very high costs, or employees had to join the learning program of IATA's named “distance learning”. However, while learning from distance, trainees do not have chance to interact with the instructor, or have discussion about solving actual situation.

On the other hand, learners are also less likely to receive the course content because of language barriers. The entire curriculum of these courses is in English with many professional terms. Even if, you are a good English learner, it is a great challenge to understand the nature and behavior of dangerous situations. Therefore, despite having employees attend training courses, a company still have to deal with the potential risks that may result in huge losses of time and money.
