At 00:55 on May 3, 2025, at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, VIAGS warmly welcomed the inaugural flight PR587, carrying 169 passengers from Mactan-Cebu International Airport (Philippines) to Ho Chi Minh City. The return flight PR588, with 84 passengers, departed at 01:55, both operated by Philippine Airlines. The launch of this new route connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Lapu-Lapu City, with a frequency of three flights per week, marks a new milestone in Philippine Airlines' expansion in the Vietnamese market. It also reinforces VIAGS’s commitment to consistently supporting and accompanying airlines.
Currently, Philippine Airlines operates eight flights per week between Manila (Philippines) and Ho Chi Minh City. The addition of three weekly flights from Lapu-Lapu City increases the total number of Philippine Airlines flights serviced by VIAGS to 11 per week. Starting from July 2025, Philippine Airlines is expected to operate an additional five weekly flights from Manila to Da Nang, bringing the total number of weekly flights serviced by VIAGS to 16.
