VIAGS PROUDLY CELEBRATES THE INAUGURAL COMMERCIAL FLIGHT AT TAN SON NHAT TERMINAL 3

On the morning of April 17, 2025, Vietnam Airport Ground Services Company Limited (VIAGS) proudly provided ground handling services for the first commercial flight operated at Tan Son Nhat International Airport’s newly inaugurated Terminal 3. The historic flight, operated by Vietnam Airlines, connected Ho Chi Minh City and Van Don in both directions.

Flight VN1286, departing from Ho Chi Minh City at 5:55 AM and operated with an Airbus A321 aircraft, carried over 100 passengers and marked the beginning of official operations at Terminal 3 — Vietnam’s most advanced and spacious domestic terminal to date. Behind the seamless launch was the dedicated effort of VIAGS staff, who prepared and executed every aspect of service with precision and care. This flight represents a major milestone in Vietnam Airlines’ plan to shift its domestic operations to the new terminal, aiming to enhance convenience, speed, and overall passenger experience.

Shortly after, the return leg — flight VN1287 from Van Don — landed at 10:50 AM at Tan Son Nhat Terminal 3. VIAGS once again ensured a smooth arrival experience for 115 passengers, providing clear guidance from the jet bridge to the baggage claim area, and offering attentive support to transit passengers.

As Vietnam’s leading ground service provider, VIAGS had developed a comprehensive operational plan well in advance, mobilizing skilled personnel and closely coordinating with airport authorities and other stakeholders. Every detail was carefully managed to ensure punctual, safe, and efficient handling of the inaugural flights at the new terminal. This successful operation not only set the tone for future flights at Terminal 3 but also contributed to elevating the standard of ground services in the Vietnamese aviation industry.

With over three decades of experience and a customer-first philosophy, VIAGS remains committed to innovation, service excellence, and continuous improvement. The company continues to invest in modern technology and equipment, with the goal of delivering world-class service and reinforcing its leadership position in Vietnam and the region.
