VIAGS TAN SON NHAT SAFETY SERVED 181 TAKING OFF/LANDING FLIGHTS DURING CLOSING TIME OF TAN SON NHAT AIRPORT DUE TO THE INCIDENT ON JUNE 14, 2020

Due to an airplane accident of an airline at 10:10 AM on June 14, 2020, Tan Son Nhat airport was temporarily closed until after 18:00 PM on the same day, many flights were delayed, canceled, changed the landing airport, etc.

Shortly thereafter, VIAGS Tan Son Nhat's Board of Directors held a meeting under the chairmanship of Deputy General Director/ Director of VIAGS Tan Son Nhat Bui Duc Thanh to discuss emergency response measures after this incident.

Under the direction of the Board of Directors, all employees of the units were mobilized from the units to the terminal, flexibly arranged personnel between the departments, promptly coordinated representatives of the Airline to handle and clearance passengers as soon as possible.

Specially, the staff volunteered to work overnight to ensure safe, thoughtful flight service to help passengers in crisis situations lasting from 12:30 PM on June 14 to 6:47 AM on June 15, 2020.

07:00 AM on June 15, VIAGS Tan Son Nhat completed the service of the last flight of June 14, VN7261 VII-SGN; A total of 81 taking off flights and 100 landing flights were served absolutely safe.

On the morning of June 16, 2020, Deputy General Director/ Director of VIAGS Tan Son Nhat Bui Duc Thanh attended & directed the seminar on Passenger Services, at the same time, praised the reward for the Domestic Passenger Services Team and the Baggage Services Team under Passenger Services Center for successfully completed the service of 181 taking off/landing flights. This activity aims to timely cheer, encourage and acknowledge the achievements, sense of responsibility to overcome difficulties of staff.

Through the process of handling unusual situations during operation, VIAGS members have shown their strong capability, and accumulated experience lessons to improve service quality, meet the needs and expectations of passengers.
