CELEBRATION FOR VIETNAMESE FAMILY DAY - JUNE 28: VIAGS TAN SON NHAT ORGANIZED A CONTEST “SWEETNESS OF LOVE”

Responding to Vietnamese Family Day June 28, on the morning of June 27, 2020, the Women's Union - Trade Union of VIAGS Tan Son Nhat - organized the Contest "Sweetness of Love" at the lobby of 4th floor - VIAGS Operator Center . The contest was attended by VIAGS Deputy General Director Bui Duc Thanh, VIAGS Tan Son Nhat's Board of Directors, staff of units, and 03 judges, Mr. Nguyen Vinh Hung - Deputy Director, Chairman of Trade Union VIAGS Tan Son Nhat, Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Huong - Deputy Head of VIAGS Training Center, Ms. Nguyen Huynh Nhi - Head of VIAGS Tan Son Nhat Female Worker Affair and especially 10 teams representing the Trade Unions division of VIAGS Tan Son Nhat.     

Speaking at the opening of the Competition, Deputy General Director Mr.Bui Duc Thanh reviewed the tradition of Vietnam Family Day, upholding the value, meaning and contribution of the family to the organization and society, thereby emphasizing the responsibility of leaders of branches, levels, social organizations and individuals to regularly pay attention to building a prosperous, equal, progressive, happy family, and promote the child protection, care and education, contributing to the construction and protection of the Fatherland, building a friendly and united company cultural environment, and building a unit for sustainable development. 

Each participating team consists of 2 members. With a total amount of 200,000 VND, each contest team made a dessert within 30 minutes and gave a presentation about their dishes.

- 02 Second Prizes: International Passenger Service Team, Office Division Team

- 03 Third Prizes: Transit Passenger Service Team, Cabin Clean Service Team, Apron Service Team 1 + Technical Services

- 04 Consolation Prizes: Apron Service Team 2, Airlines Passenger Services Team, Domestic Passenger Service Team, Operations Center Team

  Through the Competition "Sweetness of Love "to propagate the content and meaning of Vietnam Family Day June 28, to honor the traditional cultural values of Vietnamese families. At the same time, creating a healthy and practical playground for the trade union members of VIAGS Tan Son Nhat to exchange experiences, tighten solidarity, create a joyful and exciting atmosphere throughout the branch.

  Also on this occasion, the VIAGS Women's Union Affair had 12 gifts for 12 women staff of   VIAGS Tan Son Nhat with difficult circumstances through the program "VIAGS - LOVE HANDS" in 2020.

  After nearly 2 months of launching program "VIAGS - LOVE HAND", with the rapid spread of the message in the community and with the volunteer hearts of the staff in the VIAGS house, the Organizing Committee received support and donations contributing to a charity fund, the results are converted to cash with a total value of 32,518,000 VND.

  The Organizing Committee selected and awarded 32 gifts (each with a value of 1 million VND) to 32 disadvantaged female employees throughout the Company before June 28, 2020. At the gift-giving ceremony, Ms. Phung Thi Ngoc - Staff of Tan Son Nhat VIAGS Cabin Clean Service Team - emotionally thanked the Board of Directors, Women's Affair of the Company and the Branch for caring and helping the difficult life among female workers. She promised to work well to join forces with the company to overcome difficulties during the time severely affected by the Covid-19 epidemic.  


The Board of Directors and the VIAGS Tan Son Nhat Female Worker Affair presented gifts from the program "VIAGS – LOVE HANDS" to women in difficult circumstances.

Morning of September 24th, 2021, VIAGS Tan Son Nhat has successfully served Charter flight (by HAV Company represented) number 02VQBZV. Utilizing a B747-400 airplane whose seats were removed for cargo, the flight carried a total of 24,868 kg of goods which consist of 18 freights/2,860 packages/15,550 kg in the cabin and 10 freights/9,318 kg in the cargo hold. Exported apparel and footwear were contained and dispatched from Vietnam to South Korea in these freights.

At 3:55 A.M, on September 11th, VIAGS Tan Son Nhat (VTSN) delivered services for a special flight utilizing the military-grade freighter, C-130 Hercules, to obtain 8 tons of medical equipment and materials for fighting against the Covid-19 pandemic. This was the result of the aid from the Poland government to Ho Chi Minh City and it was worth about 4 million USD. The package which consisted of 70 breathing machines, 50 heart-rate monitors, 267 positive displacement pump Biolight, protective clothes, gloves, medical masks, and so more, was transported from India to Vietnam.

VIAGS TAN SON NHAT YOUTH UNION/ INTERNAL COMMUNICATION BOARD: DAILY GOOD NEWS, DAILY JOY

Throughout the ‘war’ against emerging COVID – 19 virus variants that are highly contagious, not only the medical force, the police force, and the army but all Vietnamese people have had to experience the expense of this catastrophic impact. Thousands of companies are struggling to survive and millions of workers have lost their jobs or work with greatly reduced income.

Ho Chi Minh’s Tan Son Nhat Airport used to be the busy and bustling hotspot of the country with hundreds of domestic and international flights every day. Yet, ongoing challenges and immense difficulties brought on by the pandemic has affected many. Not only are authorities, airlines and service providers struggling to grapple with the crisis, but the everyday lives of workers and staff here is becoming more difficult than ever.

During this time, the VIAGS’ Tan Son Nhat board of management, the Labor Union, and the Youth Union had quickly taken the initiative to create the “Love Connection Fund” to hasten welfare support for staff in need. From identifying airport staff going through a hard time to buying and transporting food and essential items in the fastest and most convenient way possible. This journey of ‘Knocking on every door – Looking after/Finding those in need’ is a part of the collective support campaigns for VIAGS Tan Son Nhat’s workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Small gift bags consisting of daily necessities such as rice, eggs, canned food, vegetables, and noodles will be delivered to more than 453 employees in need and those that are in isolated or quarantine areas with the hope of supporting and encouraging these families to overcome the difficulties and fully comply with the Government's directives.
